Corporate suites Concept
Robin Trehan
Corporate suites are an idea whose time has come. It is easy to see why this convenient and
economical alternative to traditional hotels has become so popular. As all the “road warriors” out there are well
aware, when it comes to finalizing a deal, making a sale, or providing
training, there’s no substitute for being there. Despite the increasing availability of
technology such as “webinars” and “virtual” meetings, there has been no statistically
significant decrease in the number of business trips taken annually. Technology will never replace the connection
that is made when people work together, face to face.
Longer term stays are much more comfortable and easier to
handle when one has access to some of the comforts of home. The amenities offered by corporate suites can
include such conveniences as kitchens, washer and dryers and on site facilities
such as a gym for working out. They usually
feature fully equipped offices that make it easy to complete work tasks and stay
connected with coworkers back at the home office.
Being able to do something as simple as cook a meal, do a
load of laundry or work out can make a world of difference to someone who must
be away from home for longer than a few days.
Healthy habits like eating right and getting enough sleep are easier to
maintain in a corporate suite environment.
Productivity increases when the traveling employee feels relaxed and at
home. They are less stressed and better
able to concentrate on the purpose of their trip. They are also less apt to be distracted by
people who are traveling on leisure.
Unlike hotels, which charge per night and do not offer lower
rates based on length of stay, corporate suites are designed specifically for longer
term rental. That translates into rates
that are much more budgets friendly. Additional
cost and time savings are realized when an employee has the option of
purchasing groceries and preparing some of their own meals rather than being
forced to go to a restaurant three times a day.
A new concept developed at The Walton Residence at 70 E. Walton, Chicago
is “On Demand Chef Service”. Chef Service is provided by Pane Caldo on the best
rated restaurant in Chicago.
Many major hotel chains now include corporate suites as part
of their nationwide offerings. In many
cases, once a company has found a corporate suite its employees are happy with,
planning travel becomes a “no brainer”. Employees
who travel routinely can count on their favorite corporate suite to meet their
needs regardless of their destination.
The popularity of corporate suites will no doubt grow as
more and more people realize the advantages they offer. The result will be increased productivity, a
healthier bottom line and happier employees.
